The Sandy Springs calendar for November 2026 mostly happens at one address, 1 Galambos Way. The Saturday Farmers Market, the Elegant Elf Marketplace, the Veterans Day Tribute, the ice rink, The Nutcracker and a holiday cirque show all take place on City Green or inside the Performing Arts Center. The north-end Night Market has one evening left. About a mile north of City Springs, the restaurant cluster at Abernathy and Roswell roads is changing over. Several places have closed and their replacements aren't open yet.
The Saturday market keeps running into the holidays, the rink opens mid-month, and new dinner options near Abernathy are on the way but won't arrive in November.
The north end gets one more Thursday
On August 17, the City of Sandy Springs announced the Sandy Springs Night Market. The city calls it an evening version of its Saturday morning market, set "on the north end of the city." It runs only on the first Thursday of September, October and November, from 5 to 8 p.m. at River Springs Shopping Center, 8610 Roswell Road. The city's announcement listed more than 30 local farmers, food producers, artisans and specialty vendors.
The last 2026 date is Thursday, November 5. According to the Night Market page, admission is free, the event is family-friendly, and vendors prefer credit cards. A vendor map is posted online if you want to plan dinner before you go. The city pitched it as a weeknight stop for a freshly prepared dinner, seasonal produce, or "the perfect last-minute hostess gift." With Thanksgiving three weeks later, that last item fits the timing well.
After November 5, the city's market activity goes back to Saturday mornings at City Springs.
Four Saturdays left, and one of them is crowded
The Sandy Springs Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon at City Springs, rain or shine. Its schedule lists October 31 and November 7, 14 and 21. November 21 is the last date posted.
November 7 is the Saturday to plan around. That same weekend, the Sandy Springs Society's Elegant Elf Marketplace brings 98 vendors to the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center at the same address. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 7, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 8. So the market's produce stalls and a 98-vendor holiday show share one property on that Saturday morning. For lighter traffic, the Elf's Sunday hours avoid the overlap.
November 21 has its own double booking. The market's last listed Saturday falls on the same day City Springs hosts A Magical Cirque Christmas.
The month at 1 Galambos Way
Here are the November highlights at that single address, in order:
| Date | Event | Where on the campus |
|---|---|---|
| Saturdays through Nov. 21 | Sandy Springs Farmers Market, 8:30 a.m. to noon | City Springs |
| Nov. 7–8 | Elegant Elf Marketplace, 98 vendors | Performing Arts Center |
| Wed., Nov. 11 | 17th annual Veterans Day Tribute, 11:30 a.m., free | Byers Theatre |
| Fri., Nov. 13 | Skate City Springs opens | City Green |
| Sat., Nov. 21 | A Magical Cirque Christmas | City Springs |
| Nov. 27–Dec. 6 | Roswell Dance Theatre's The Nutcracker, 10 performances | Performing Arts Center |
The Veterans Day Tribute is free and open to the public, according to Sandy Springs Today, which also lists Nutcracker tickets at $30 to $55. The Nutcracker opens Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving. Families hosting out-of-town relatives that weekend can see a performance without leaving the city.
The rink opens on a Friday, and Fridays now cost more
Skate City Springs opens on City Green on Friday, November 13, and runs through January 18, 2027. This season the city switched to tiered pricing. Monday through Thursday, a session costs $15 for adults and $12 for kids ages 2 to 9. Friday through Sunday, it's $18 for adults and $15 for kids. Skate rental is included, and each timed session lasts an hour.
For a family of four with two young kids, that works out to $54 Monday through Thursday and $66 Friday through Sunday, a $12 difference. Opening night lands at the higher rate, since November 13 is a Friday.
The weekly lineup gives the weekend price some extra value:
- Fridays: Disco Slide Nights start at 6 p.m. with a DJ, couples' skates and fast laps.
- Saturdays: Themed nights run 8 to 10 p.m., with themes such as K-Pop Vibe and Pajama Party. Skaters who dress up get a free hot cocoa.
- Every night: Glow Night starts at 6 p.m.
The rink also added group packages for the first time this season, pairing food, gathering space and skating for birthdays and group outings. Corporate outings are booked through the city's venue rentals office. Capacity is limited, so the city recommends reserving online. Walk-ups should call (404) 890-6690 first to check availability.
The rink is still running for Sparkle Sandy Springs on Sunday, December 6. That evening brings a nighttime parade and the Christmas tree and Menorah lighting on City Green. The city says the schedule is still to come and details may change.
A mile north, the dinner options are changing over
For residents who head to Abernathy and Roswell roads for dinner after a Saturday at City Springs, two familiar places closed in August and their replacements aren't open yet.
Baraonda closed permanently on Tuesday, August 25, at 6075 Roswell Road, ToNeTo Atlanta reported. It had reopened at that address in 2023. Rough Draft Atlanta's August closure roundup listed Baraonda along with Nori Nori, which had been in Sandy Springs Crossing for nearly 20 years.
Four new tenants have been announced on the same stretch:
- MOA Korean Bistro is taking the former Baraonda space at 6075 Roswell Road, Suite 100. What Now Atlanta reported a 4,000-square-foot restaurant serving modern Korean food and cocktails at lunch and dinner, on a 10-year lease. The restaurant's own site still says "Coming soon" and "Opening Winter 2026."
- Tous les Jours is planned for a roughly 3,000-square-foot freestanding building at 6080 Roswell Road, according to ToNeTo Atlanta. No opening date has been given.
- Roti Modern Mediterranean is headed to Abernathy Square at the Abernathy and Roswell Road corner, ToNeTo Atlanta reported on September 28. No opening date has been given.
- McDaniel's QN2 BBQ is moving north from Springs Landing, the center across from City Springs, into Sandy Springs Crossing, where it will join Nowak's Steakhouse and Aldo's.
The McDaniel's move is a big change in size. ToNeTo Atlanta reported that the restaurant will go from 4,400 square feet to 1,625. It has been in Sandy Springs since opening as a Slope's BBQ franchise in 2002 and took the family name in 2022. The outlet suggested the smaller space likely reflects fewer diners eating on-site, and said the new location is slated to open "in the months to come."
None of the four has a confirmed November opening. MOA's own target is winter.
The outdoor routine that improved for winter
One outdoor upgrade is finished and ready for colder weather. The renovated Morgan Falls Dog Park at 100 Morgan Falls Road had its ribbon-cutting on October 14 after the work finished ahead of schedule. The 3.4-acre park overlooks the Chattahoochee and has separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. Crews graded a drainage channel so the ground stays dry, a fix that matters most during wet winter months. The park also added shade structures, benches, picnic tables, waste and wash stations, drinking fountains, and boulders for dogs to climb.
City Springs may get bigger
The city council is also considering an expansion of City Springs itself. On October 20, the council voted to advance negotiations on 5.5 acres south of Mount Vernon Highway for a proposed City Springs 2.0. Rough Draft Atlanta reported that plans include ground-floor retail, a boutique hotel and 28 homes. No timeline has been set. For this season, everything on the calendar stays at the current campus. The rink opens November 13, and the last listed Farmers Market Saturday is November 21.
